Thanks Grandma!

Grandma Peterson made this cute bib that goes on Grant like a shirt and it covers the whole front part of his body. She tried it on Grant when we went out with her on Monday for dinner and it fit perfectly. It was the cutest thing ever! I have always thought it would be so nice if they made bibs like that for babies, especially for babies like Grant who get so messy every time they eat. So this was a dream come true for me. Grant is so blessed to have a Grandma who's got so many talents and who loves him so much. Thank you Grandma!

Canyon again!

We've been able to go up the canyon lately, since Steven got his two week break from school. It was so nice today when we went up to have lunch together and went on a walk up to the waterfall. I think Grant had a good time too. He looks way happier and entertained when we are outdoors than in our little apartment. we need to do more things like this before Steven's break is over and also before summer is over.

BBQ at the Canyon!

Today we went up the canyon and had a BBQ there. I marinaded some chicken and Steven cooked it on a grill up there. It was a lot of fun to spend some quality family time together except for the bees that kept chasing us where ever we went. The nature up there was so pretty. I think we need to do more stuff like this before summer ends. All in all it was a great day today.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY STEVIE!!!!!!

Steven celebrated his 24th birthday on Friday. I made him Cinnamon buns and breakfast pie for breakfast. Then after lunch we went to Jump on it! which was not as fun as we thought it would be; they had nothing but Trampolines, and we had expected many more things than just that. Anyways, after that, I tried to surprise him by baking a nice cake for him, but that did not turn out that great, but thank goodness I had already made an ice cream cake the night before just for a back up. Then we went out for dinner at Guru's and got a whole plate of Sweet potato fries which is our favorite thing to eat there. Unfortunately by the time we started our main dishes I felt too sick to continue eating. Later, we came home and I set his ice cream cake with a candle on the table with another store bought cake. Sarah and Josh ( Steven's sister and her husband) joined our little party. Finally we ended our day with a game of Zarahemla with them. As you can tell, the day did not go as smoothly as I wanted it to, but it was a lot of fun celebrating my man's birthday.

Our little family

We are the Petersons. I am Radha Peterson and I am from Colombo, SriLanka and My husband Steven Peterson is from Rigby, Idaho. We have a little boy named Grant and I would like to say he is from Amer-Lanka :) . My Husband Steven and I met on his mission in SriLanka. For those of who that don't know where SriLanka is- It is the small Island off the coast of India.
Anyways coming back to the story. My husband served in the Singhala ( one of the two languages spoken there) branch and I was in the English branch. We would see each other every sunday at church and some saturdays which was the ward game night there and trust me there was nothing going on between us!! I hardly knew him but I thought he was an awesome missionary from observing or lets say admiring some of the hard work and dedication he put into his service. But he says he always thought I was cute and knew I was going to be his wife though he never showed it to me(ya right!). At the conclusion of his mission, when he knew I was going to school here he got my email from my cousin who was also serving on the same mission and emailed me right after he got back home and we started dating and were married on Sep. 1, 2006. On Sep. 11, 2007 we had our little boy Grant Steven Peterson who is the cutest little thing ever. This is our little family and we love it!!
